“Unscrew the locks from the doors! Unscrew the doors themselves from their jambs!”
- Walt Whitman |

Being right wins arguments. Being effective wins business. In order to be effective, a level of personal awareness and competency must be explored in the ways that we operate, learn, and grow as individuals. Successful organizational change begins with individual transformation, which can only come as a result of challenging our existing notions of an imaginary “right” way, and substituting it for a path that is more effective. We believe that a deeper ideal about effectiveness exists at work, one that is based on character and guided by individual principles - where people are trusted in the organization because they are trustworthy; where they honor their commitments because they are honorable; and where they take responsibility for their decisions because they are accountable. XLNTPossibilities is committed to helping organizations in exploring and finding their path to effectiveness. Offering classroom instruction, consulting services, executive coaching, and customized learning programs, XLNTPossibilities seeks to re-awaken the spirit and vision of the organization by uncovering and unleashing the hidden potential that already exists within. |

What we see today... |
|
Teams are meeting more frequently and achieving fewer results. Associates lack the courage and competency to say what needs to be said in the meeting and instead focus on what others want to hear. Questions that appear intended for exploration and discovery are actually packaged with hidden suggestions advocating a particular opinion or belief. The real thoughts flow in the hallways and break rooms where everyone talks and no one takes action. Team members have marketable talents that go unnoticed and untapped, and if they are discovered it’s usually by accident. In what appears to be an endless stream of messages, workers are having a hard time understanding what’s urgent and what’s important and are becoming overwhelmed by the volume of communications. Associates hide behind voicemail and email and wonder why their requests take so long and why miscommunication occurs. |
Can you imagine? |
|
Imagine a work environment where meetings actually happen in the meeting - not afterwards in the offices and cubicles, by the water-coolers, or in the bathrooms. Imagine an organization where managers are replaced by leaders, and where teams express their thoughts and opinions with meaning and respect. Imagine a place where authentic inquiry and exchanges of ideas replaces political banter and heated debate. Imagine an environment where vision is shared and lived - not laminated and forgotten. |
Is it better to be right or to be effective? |
